Tilda #5 - Newsflash!

You’ve heard of Mambo #5…now it’s time for Tilda #5!

I’ve been beavering away behind the scenes, and yes, very quiet on the Scribbles in recent months because I’ve been desperately trying to finish off Tilda #5. I was this close (pinches thumb and forefinger together) sooo many times in perhaps the last six months, but I still wasn’t 100% happy.

Until I was.

I finally sent the manuscript off to Bedazzled Ink earlier this month to see what they thought. Had I really done Tilda’s story justice? Finished it off ‘properly’? Satisfied the reader?

It appeared so. Hooray!

Now, my expectation was - knowing how many fabulous books BInk have in the publishing pipeline at any one point - that Tilda #5 would be published in 2025. However… When I posted on facebook that Tilda was finished, so many of her fans responded to say that they can’t wait to see how her story plays out, BInk decided to pull the publication date forward. It’s now AUTUMN THIS YEAR!!

Fingers crossed, you’ll be able to get your hands on a copy around September time.

And that’s not all…Tilda #5 has a title.

The fifth and final instalment of The Chronicles of Issraya is called…dun-dun-derrrr…

And yes, this’ll be the one with a blue cover - which I’ll be revealing on the 1st May.

I hope you’re as excited as I am about all of this. I’m sitting here wondering what you think will happen in this last book. Will any of you guess the ending? Will you have time to read Tilda #1,2,3 and 4 again before Tilda and the Sixth Mage is published?

It feels like a real milestone and the end of something big…but it’s also the start of something new, because I’m already writing new material. So there’s plenty more power in my pen, but right now, it’s still time to focus on Tilda.
