It all started when…
I love rainbows. And the idea for Granny Rainbow came about because I wondered ‘what would happen if colour got taken out of the world?’ Who would do such a thing to start with? And which unlikely person would be able to put it back?
So I wrote about Granny Rainbow and the Black Shadow. My son, about 9 yrs old at the time, said ‘Mum, you like rainbows so much, you ought to write a story for every colour of the rainbow.’ I declined, as one story had been quite enough work, thank you very much!
But the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea, and I began to write more stories about Granny Rainbow, her friends, and the people she helps…
